Specifications:	We have the honour to announce the 16th European Congress on Physical & Rehabilitation Medicine (ECPRM), which will take place in the wonderful historical city of Brugge in Belgium on Tuesday, June 3 - Friday June 6, 2008. The congress is organised by the Royal Belgian Society of Physical and Rehabilitation Medicine (RBSPRM) and the European Society of Physical and Rehabilitation Medicine (ESPRM) in collaboration with the European Union of Medical Specialists (UEMS) and the International Society of Physical and Rehabilitation Medicine (ISPRM). We are also very proud to announce that recently the American Academy of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (AAPM&R) as well as the French Society (SOFMER) and Italian Society (SIMFER) on PM&R have confirmed to organise sessions with the European Congress. Taking all this into account, we experience a real boost in the scientific content of the Congress and it will be the first time in the history of the European Congress that there is such a high worldwide participation and interest. The venue for this 16th European Congress on PM&R will be the “Concertgebouw”. This modern building has been constructed on the occasion of Brugge 2002 - Cultural Capital of Europe, and has a prominent position within the centre of the city of Brugge. Moreover the ‘Concertgebouw’ is located within walking distance from the majority of the hotels. The organisation of the ECPRM 2008 will be coordinated by Prof. Guy Vanderstraeten, the Congress President, who will be assisted for the practical organisation of the Congress by Werner Van Cleemputte and his team of MEDICONGRESS who also run the International Society for Physical and Rehabilitation Medicine (ISPRM). We look forward to welcoming you all to Brugge… but be aware you might fall in love with this city.
